Turkey acts as good fuel for a hockey game, just ask the teams who came out on top this Thanksgiving weekend.

Minor Atom AA
A 5-0 victory over North Toronto (2-3-0) on Sunday allowed the North York Knights (4-0-0) to become the only undefeated team in the division. The East remains tight, with both the Scarborough Young Bruins (4-1-0) and Scarborough Ice Raiders (4-1-0) following closely behind the Knights. The Ice Raiders suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of the Leaside Flames (4-2-0) on Friday. The Flames will look for their third straight win when they face the first place Knights on October 12.

Six games in, no team has been able to find an answer to the Vaughan Rangers (6-0-0). The Rangers notched another win on Friday to extend their winning streak. The second place Mississauga Jets (4-0-2) also managed to stay undefeated after a 3-1 victory over the third place Humber Valley Sharks (3-1-1). The Jets will be tested when they face the first place Rangers on October 21.

The Forest Hill Force (5-0-0) and Ted Reeve Thunder (5-0-0) both recorded weekend wins to remain undefeated on the season. The two teams will have a rematch of their first round playoff series in late October. The Force will be looking for redemption after narrowly losing their first round series to the Thunder. Ted Reeve would eventually fall to the Willowdale Blackhawks in the semi-finals.

After finishing sixth last season, the Vaughan Rangers (6-0-0) are off to a red-hot start, winning their sixth straight on Sunday. The Rangers will face the reigning GTHL Regular Season Champs, the Vaughan Panthers (3-1-1), on Friday. The Duffield Devils (4-1-0), who missed the post-season entirely last year, were able to sneak past the second place Avalanche (4-1-0) in a 4-3 win over the weekend.

As reigning Scotiabank GTHL Playoff Champs, the Marlboros look determined to dethrone the Mississauga Senators (5-1-1) as regular season champs during their Peewee season. The Sens, however, are off to a hot start, sitting in second after recording a 3-3 tie against the Toronto Red Wings (3-3-1) on Friday. Teams should be keeping an eye on the third place Vaughan Kings (5-1-0) who have now won three straight. The Kings will face the North York Rangers on October 13.
