The Toronto Young Nationals will look to defend their provincial title when they host the 2015 Central Region Midget AAA Championship.

The six-team tournament will feature the host Young Nationals, the GTHL finalist Don Mills Flyers and the champion from each of the other Ontario Hockey Federation member partners:

GTHL Champion/Host – Toronto Young Nationals
GTHL Finalist – Don Mills Flyers
ALLIANCE Champion – London Jr. Knights
NOHA Champion – Sault Ste. Marie Thunderbirds
ODMHA Champion – Ottawa Senators
OMHA Champion – Whitby Wildcats

The puck drops on Monday afternoon when the Flyers and Jr. Knights square off at 2:30 p.m.

The host Young Nationals hit the ice at 8:00 p.m. that night when they welcome the Thunderbirds. The opening ceremonies will take place before the game, with Don Cherry on hand to drop the ceremonial puck.

The winner will represent the Central Region at the 2015 Telus Cup in Rivère-du-Loup, Que. from April 20 to 26.

The Young Nationals posted a 25-3-5 record en route to winning the Kraft Cup as regular season champions before rolling to a second straight Scotiabank GTHL Playoffs title.

The Young Nationals last year advanced to the Telus Cup national championship after defeating the host Markham Waxers in the Central Region final. The Nats eventually finished fourth in the country after posting a 4-2-0 record at the Telus Cup.

The Flyers cruised to a 7-2-3 record through the opening two rounds of the playoffs before falling to the Young Nationals in seven games in the GTHL Championship. Don Mills finished third in the Kraft Cup regular season standings with a 22-8-3 (47 points) record.
