For the second straight year, the Under-13 ‘AA’ Vaughan Panthers participated in the 15th annual Kleinburg Food Drive held on November 12.
The players enthusiastically went door-to-door to collect donations for the Vaughan Food Bank.
“Sporting their red jerseys, the boys were certainly an impressive sight hauling much needed items packed in the green donated bags that Kleinburg residents left at their front door for pick-up,” shared team organizers Fab Caschera and Sandra Fiorini-Caschera.
This year’s event successfully filled three trucks with over 3000 pounds of food and personal items for families in need, while also raising over $3000 in monetary donations.
The Vaughan Food Bank provides the equivalent of over one million meals to families in need and another one million meals through partnerships with local community organizations.
