2015-16 Gord Hughes Minor Midget AAA Scholarship Award

Daanyal Chaudry has always valued education and has developed an incredible passion for hockey during his eight years with the GTHL. That’s why the Toronto Young Nationals goaltender plans to continue playing when he eventually pursues
field.

In his scholarship application, Chaudry stated that he will always remember his “amazing teammates and coaches, the come-from-behind wins, the away tournaments, and all the car rides with my parents to and from the rinks.”

“I realized how lucky and blessed I was to have played at the highest level of hockey in the most competitive minor hockey league in the world,” continued Chaudry as he reflected on his first eight seasons of minor hockey, also acknowledging the sacrifices his parents made to help him play the game he loves.

“It is through the sport that I have fostered friendships, an indescribable passion, and an endless amount of memories. I has become a way of life, and it will always be a part of me.”
