The mid-day match-up of the 23rd annual Under-18 All-Star Festival fuelled by Gatorade featured the ‘AA’ All-Stars on Saturday, January 25 at Scotiabank Pond. Following the ‘A’ All-Star Game which saw Team Blue capture the trophy in a 10-7 final, the ‘AA’ All-Stars hit the ice.
Keeping the momentum going for Team Blue, the ‘AA’ All-Star Game wrapped up with a 7-2 final in favour of the blue shirts.
Starting things off, goaltenders Elijah Dryfhout (Toronto Eagles) from Team Red and Hugo Stodola (Mississauga Jets) from Team Blue joined Gatorade Canada’s Director of Marketing Adam Day and GTHL Director Phil Wolfenden for the ceremonial face-off.
Gabriel Scandinaro (Duffield Devils) was named the Gatorade Player of the Game for Team Red after playing a strong 200-foot game.
Team Blue’s Gatorade Player of the Game was Jayden Janicki (Mississauga Jets) after netting two goals and adding an assisting another.

In the first, Team Blue opened the scoring with two goals – one from Janicki and the other from Ben Doitch (Toronto Shamrocks). Soon after, Team Red followed up with two goals, one scored by Nicholas Daponte (Mississauga North Stars) and the other by Colin Brazel (Toronto Eagles).

Team Blue maintained control through the second and third periods resulting in a 7-2 win.
