The Greater Toronto Hockey League has partnered with Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital to present the Dear Everybody Campaign Workshop. The workshop will take place via Zoom and will be roughly 1-1.5 hours in length taking place February 4 at 7pm.
The Dear Everybody workshop highlights the messages of the campaign to support community initiatives around equity, diversity, and inclusion. The session is a unique opportunity for participants to learn about disability and reflect on their biases, with an engaging interactive component that acts as a springboard for conversations around creating inclusive spaces. The workshop is led by Holland Bloorview facilitators with lived experience with disability.
Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital, with a mission to drive social justice for children and youth with disabilities. To support this goal, in 2017 Holland Bloorview launched the Dear Everybody public awareness campaign to eliminate disability stigma and promote meaningful inclusion.
Coaches that require professional development points will receive 3 professional development points for attending the workshop. Please indicate if you require professional development points for certification maintenance on the following page. Parents, officials, and bench staff are all welcome.
