Seven GTHL Grads to Participate in 2019 World Junior Championship


Seven GTHL graduates, representing both Canada and the United States, will take to the ice for the 2019 World Junior Championship starting Boxing Day. Taking place in Vancouver and Victoria, the 2019 World Junior Championship. Alumni from four different “AAA” Clubs will be represented across the two squads, including three Toronto Marlboros grads and two former Toronto Red Wings. The tournament will potentially see former Marlboros teammates MacKenzie Entwistle and Quinn Hughes face off against one another on as Hughes dresses for Team USA and Entwistle dons the maple leaf.

Canada will look to defend their 2018 gold medal at the tournament. Canada has won gold 17 times in the tournament’s history.
