GTHL Mourns Passing of Vaughan Panthers Player Johnny Sinopoli

The GTHL is mourning the passing of former Vaughan Panthers player Johnny Sinopoli. The 23-year-old passed on March 31, 2020, after a long battle with brain cancer.

Johnny played with the Vaughan Panthers for the entirety of his GTHL career and was team captain for six seasons. He helped lead the Panthers Midget AA team to an OHF Championship in 2014. Sinopoli participated in the Midget “AA” All-Star Game the same year.

Donations in Johnny’s memory can be made to the Gord Downie Fund for Glioblastoma Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Hospital.
