Kevin Mercer awarded 2022 George Chamandy Memorial Trophy

On July 19, the Greater Toronto Hockey League proudly recognized Kevin Mercer as the League’s 2021-22 George Chamandy Memorial Trophy winner.

The George Chamandy Memorial Trophy is presented to the individual (non-GTHL Executive) who, in the opinion of the GTHL Board of Directors, has contributed a supreme effort to the promotion and fostering of minor hockey in Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, and/or Markham. This trophy is the highest award presented to any individual by the GTHL.

During the GTHL’s 2022 Annual General Meeting, Mercer was presented with the honour. Described as the backbone of West Hill’s house league program, Mercer has been involved with in the GTHL for over 35 years and is recognized as a significant ambassador for his club and community. Mercer creates genuine connections with everyone who steps into the arena and embodies the supportive, fun community environment that his club strives to create.

The GTHL congratulates Kevin Mercer once again on the 2022 George Chamandy Memorial Trophy.
