Learn your stripes

Like elite players, minor hockey officials looking to hone their skills need to put in time. Make the most of your time this off-season at the Canadian School of Hockey Officiating: Referee Summer Camp.

“Ref School” for short, this comprehensive four-day camp for minor hockey officials is hosted each August by the GTHL’s special training entity, the Canadian School of Hockey Officiating.

The camp will give you the opportunity to:

  • Improve your officiating knowledge and skills;
  • Develop appropriate officiating attitudes and values;
  • Expand your awareness of conditioning/fitness programs and nutrition;
  • Obtain or renew certification with the Hockey Canada Officiating Program

The timing of the camp – it runs this year from August 22 to 25 at Vaughan Sports Village – allows officials to physically and mentally prepare for the 2016-17 minor hockey season.Referee info 02 April 2016
