The Greater Toronto Hockey League is building our Gold Cup Coaching Staffs for the 2019 OHL Gold Cup. The GTHL selects and prepares two teams of players to take part in this competition that is part of the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence.
The GTHL is inviting interest for the following positions:
Coach– interested applicants require their High Performance 1 Hockey Canada certification or higher. Previous coaching experience is required. The ability to follow a scouting schedule, evaluate players, and prepare players in a short amount of time is a required skill set.
Trainer/Athletic Therapist – interested applicants require their Level 3 Hockey Canada certification or higher. Previous experience is required. The ability to work with players and prepare them for off-ice training, during practices and games is a required skill set. A wide variety of work experience makes for a successful candidate.
Scouting/Evaluator – Previous scouting experience is required. The ability to evaluate players and file supporting documents makes for a successful candidate.
All three of these positions require flexibility to work with Hockey Canada requirements and teamwork. Three to seven meetings are held during the season to prepare and the teams holds practices before the event to prepare the players to play as a team.
Meetings and Practices will be announced soon. The OHL Gold Cup runs from May 1st to 5th.
These positions pay a stipend that encompasses the event, meetings, and travel.
