GALLERY: 2023-24 Whitefish River First Nation X GTHL Exchange (Whitefish River)
For the second consecutive season, the GTHL and Whitefish River First Nation are together participating in a home-and-home exchange. After the first leg welcomed youth from Whitefish River First Nation to Toronto in October, the Under-13 ‘A’ George Bell Titans took the trip up north for the weekend of February 9-11.
The weekend included on-ice sessions with the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League’s (NOJHL) Espanola Paper Kings, outdoor stations of tree tapping, shelter building, and fire starting, as well as learning to set and get the net, with a fish fry to wrap up the festivities.
