Terriers give back – again!

In 2004, Mississauga Terriers teams decided to have a little Christmas Pizza Party combined with a CP24 Chum Christmas Wish Toy Drive. Twelve years later and this little party has grown to be a tradition that rose to new heights in 2015.

This year all eight Terrier teams, along with their families and friends, celebrated with pizza – 160 large pies, to be exact – and pop in the Terrier Lounge between the two ice pads at Erin Mills Twin Rinks.

Renting the room on Monday night home games and turning it into the Terrier Lounge is a long standing tradition.  It’s a great place for Terrier families and friends to gather before and after the game to have some coffee and donuts and talk hockey. At Christmas we offer up pizza, pop, donuts and coffee and we pack the joint!

Thanks to the generosity of Terriers families, this year we donated a record of 253 new unwrapped toys to the CP24 Chum Christmas Wish Toy Drive.

Over the years, Terriers players and their families have donated in excess of 1,500 toys to the initiative.  Giving back to the community and helping those who are less fortunate is something that warms our hearts.

As long as we have a Terriers organization, we will have this annual pizza party and toy drive – it’s a great fun time and all for a great cause!

On behalf of the entire Terriers organization, we would like to thank everyone for their contributions and generosity. We would also like to extend our wishes to everyone, for a very Merry Christmas, a happy holiday and a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!
