2015 OHF/OHL Under-15 Program of Excellence

Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) President Bill Bowman and Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Commissioner David Branch announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2015 OHF/OHL Under-15 Program of Excellence.

There will be five programs held over a three-day weekend in Kitchener (May 1-3), Vaughan (May 1-3), Windsor (May 8-10), Oshawa (May 8-10) and Sudbury (August 7-9; registered NOHA players only).

Players will participate in intense, high performance on and off-ice sessions and seminars. On-ice sessions include skills testing, two practices and three games. Off-ice sessions include seminars with keynote speakers on topics such as sports psychology, nutrition and fitness.

The OHF/OHL Under-15 Program of Excellence, now in its ninth year, is a first class program designed to expose participants to the demands of playing at the Junior level.

The program provides various off-ice seminars and resources to ensure participants have the necessary resources to achieve continued success as they make that crucial transition from Minor to Junior hockey.

“Over the past eight years, we have witnessed tremendous success with our Under-15 Program of Excellence by giving participants the opportunity to develop essential skills both on and off the ice,” said Bowman.

“On behalf of the OHF, we are extremely excited to once again partner with the OHL to offer this unique experience. We gratefully attribute the continued success of this program to the hard work and dedication of coaches, trainers and volunteers.”
