Celebrating a Kraft Cup Worthy Season

Forty-three Kraft Cup winning teams descended on Scotiabank Pond on Sunday, February 26 to take part in the inaugural Kraft Cup Celebration Ceremony.

“After a long season and a lot of hard work, it was really rewarding to go on stage and get our trophies,” said Zach Hughes, a goaltender with the Kraft Cup winning Minor Bantam A Don Mills Mustangs.

Each player received an individual trophy to take home, while teams were awarded a larger trophy to share amongst all their players.

“Going up on the big stage and hearing our names announced was awesome,” said Mike Hughes, a trainer with his son Zach’s Mustangs team. “It was very exciting seeing all the teams that also won.”

Michael Saini, Head Coach of the undefeated Ted Reeve Thunder Minor Bantam AA team added that it was “the perfect team bonding event.”

Players were also treated to free products courtesy of Kraft, including boxes of Kraft Dinner and Kool-Aid.

Here’s how some teams celebrated their Kraft Cup victories.
