As the season of giving begins, the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) is encouraging the community to get involved. On November 2, the Under-17 ‘AA’ Mississauga Terriers supported The Shoebox Project. As part of the initiative, the team volunteered their time to help move over 6,000 pounds of essential gifts.
“[We are] proud to be Terriers and proud to support women in the community,” Rad Matijevic, a representative from the Mississauga Terriers Hockey Club, shared.
The Shoebox Project for Women is an unaffiliated, non-religious, Canadian charity that supports women experiencing or at-risk-of homelessness, and that celebrates diversity, builds awareness, challenges stigma, and promotes equity. To learn more about The Shoebox Project, visit shoeboxproject.ca.
