The Greater Toronto Hockey League Set to Host 6th Annual Legacy Classic

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TORONTO – The Greater Toronto Hockey League will host their 6th Annual Legacy Classic golf tournament on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Richmond Hill Golf and Country Club. All proceeds from the tournament will support the GTHL Legacy Fund which was established in 2011 to provide financial assistance to GTHL families in need.

Over 150 golfers, including many members of the GTHL community, tee off starting at 11 a.m. Participants will be treated to a meet and greet with television personality Don Cherry upon arrival, and will gather after their round for a buffet dinner, raffle, and silent auction.

“We are extremely thankful for the support this tournament sees year after year,” said GTHL Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Scott Oakman. “The contributions made by participants will no doubt help to get kids in the game and help the GTHL families that need it the most.”

The GTHL Legacy Classic has previously seen appearances by high profile GTHL graduates including Minnesota Wild Head Coach Bruce Boudreau and Hall of Famer Eric Lindros.
