Teams are finding their groove heading into the second month of the GTHL regular season. See how the standings are shaping up after the first few weeks of competition.
Minor Atom AA
The North York Knights (4-0-0) continued to tear through the East with back-to-back weekend wins, remaining undefeated by a mile. Although they have yet to meet their match in the undefeated Leaside Flames (4-0-0), no opponent has yet to come close to phasing the Knights. The team has only allowed three goals in their first four games, with the Knights offense coming on strong, netting 32 goals in four contests. The undefeated Flames and Knights will meet for the first time on Saturday, October 14.
In the West, a weekend win for the Mississauga Jets (3-0-0) put them in the same undefeated category as the Mississauga North Stars (3-0-0) and Humber Valley Sharks (3-0-0). A true test of division dominance will come on October 8 when the Sharks and Jets meet for the first time. Will the three teams continue their pace all the way to the playoffs?

Minor Peewee A
After picking up every title all the way to the city championships last season, North Toronto (0-3-0) lost their third consecutive game of the 2017-18 season, falling to the undefeated Don Mills Mustangs (3-0-0) on Saturday. Squeaking into the playoffs as the eighth seed last season, the North York Knights (3-0-0) added another win over the weekend, joining the Mustangs as the teams to beat. The Mustangs will play York Mills (2-0-1), who currently sit in third place, on October 5.
Unlike the East, the West is seeing history repeat itself with the Vaughan Rangers (3-0-0) demonstrating why they earned a regular season and playoff championship last season. Defeating the West Mall Lightning (1-3-0) on Saturday, the Rangers have only allowed three goals in their three contests this season. Much like last year, the Vaughan Panthers (2-1-1) currently sit in second place right where they finished the 2016-17 regular season. The Panthers will need to find a way to shut down the Rangers offence if they want to finish the regular season on top of the standings.

Minor Midget AAA
Mirroring their Bantam season, the Mississauga Reps (5-0-0) are off to a roaring start to the 2017-18 campaign. The Reps, who have a game in hand over a few teams, are one of three undefeated squads in their loop. Both the Jr. Canadiens (3-0-0) and Toronto Marlboros (3-0-0) notched numbers in the win column over the weekend to also remain undefeated. The Marlboros and Reps will meet on October 11, giving spectators a potential preview of an OHL Cup match up. The Reps will have another strong test as they face the Jr. Canadiens four days later on October 15.
