Some teams served up a lot more than just turkey this long weekend. See what teams were able to add to the win column.

Minor Atom AAA

Two games back of the first place Jr. Canadiens (6-0-1), the third place Mississauga Senators (4-0-1) managed to add an additional point after their match-up with the Toronto Titans (3-1-2) ended in a 2-2 draw. The Senators will face the undefeated Jr. Canadiens on Sunday, October 15 in what is surely to be a close game.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Marlboros (4-1-1) extended their winning streak to three over the weekend after a dominating 9-3 win over the winless Toronto Young Nationals (0-7-0). The Marlboros are set to face the North York Rangers (2-4-1) on Saturday, October 14.

Other finals from Minor Atom AAA weekend action:

North York Rangers 0, Vaughan Kings 5
Markham Majors 3, Toronto Red Wings 3

Peewee A

History is so far repeating itself in the East with the reigning city champions, the Leaside Flames (5-0-1), having yet to lose a game. Like last season, the Flames have North Toronto (5-0-0) on right on their tail. Only a single game behind the Flames, North Toronto managed to win their fifth straight on Sunday after a victory against the Toronto Aces (0-6-0). The third place North York Knights (4-0-1) also managed to stay in the undefeated category after recording a 4-0 victory against the Hillcrest Canadiens (4-1-1). The Knights will face the Ted Reeve Thunder (0-5-0) on Thursday, October 12.

After finishing sixth in the regular season and making a first round playoff exit, the Toronto Royals (4-0-1) have started the 2017-18 season out to prove they’re not a team to be taken lightly. The Royals remain the only undefeated team in their division after their Sunday match against the West Mall Lightning (2-1-2) ended in a 4-4 tie. The Royals will need to keep up the pace if they want to fend off the second place Avalanche (4-1-0),  who will no doubt be looking to repeat as division champs.

Other finals from Peewee A weekend action:

West – Humber Valley Sharks 3, Toronto Eagles 4
West – Duffield Devils 2, Toronto Wolverines 1

East – Don Mills Mustangs 3, Toronto Aces 1
East – East Enders Ticats 6, Toronto Shamrocks 3

Midget Jr. AA

The Mississauga Jets (5-1-0) have lifted off with an impressive start to the 2017-18 campaign. Finishing first in 2016-17 regular season, and subsequently winning the West division playoff title, the Jets notched their fifth straight victory on Sunday after a 6-2 win against the West Mall Lightning (1-3-1). The Jets, however, will need to find an answer to the undefeated Mississauga North Stars (4-0-1) if they want a repeat of last season. The Jets and North Stars finished the 2016-17 season with only a one point differential between them. The two teams will meet on October 31 at 8:45 p.m. at Tomken Arena.

In the East, the North York Knights (5-0-0) are on a mission to repeat as city champions, remaining undefeated after handing the Toronto Aces (5-1-0) their first loss of the season. Despite finishing last season as regular season champions, the Aces fell to the Knights in the final round of the playoffs.

Other finals from Midget Jr. AA weekend action:

West – Toronto Royals 5, Avalanche 7
West – Vaughan Panthers 1, Streetsville Tigers 1

East – Markham Islanders 8, Forest Hill 2
East – Toronto Aces 1, North York Knights 4
