Four GTHL Grads Selected for Canada’s National Men’s Team
Four GTHL grads, all of whom are former members of the Toronto Marlboros, will play for Canada’s National Men’s Team in PyeongChang. All four players selected had stints in the NHL prior to playing for their current teams.
Christian Thomas marks the youngest of the grads selected at 25-years of age, while 37-year-old Chris Kelly is the oldest. All players selected have several GTHL accolades behind them, including Cody Goloubef who won an OHL Cup during the 2004-05 season alongside current NHL players John Tavares and Sam Gagner. Thomas, Goloubef, and Kelly all recently captured Canada’s 15th Spengler Cup title.
GTHL grad Laura Stacey will represent Canada on the Women’s National Team. Click here to read more about Stacey.
