What it means to play in the G is different for each player. For some, it may mean the opportunity to play elite level hockey, while for others it’s to cherish the chance to play with close friends. Whatever you love about playing in the G, the inaugural I Play In The G Festival this weekend is looking to celebrate the League and all of its players.

Starting at Scotiabank Pond Friday evening and running until Sunday night, the I Play In the G Festival will showcase a variety of hockey focused vendors. Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect.

Under Armour (GTHL)
The GTHL will be offering a variety of branded, event exclusive Under Armour gear for purchase on site. Let everyone know where you play by sporting an I Play In The G hat or tee.

Equipment Drive
The GTHL will be running an equipment drive throughout the duration of the event. Donate your gently used equipment and help inner-city hockey programs in need. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Dairy Farmers of Ontario
Players proudly sport the dairy farmers patch on their jerseys each and every game, and now is the opportunity to meet the people behind the brand. Ambassadors from the Dairy Farmers of Ontario will be available to speak with players and parents about the benefits of milk and will also offer fun dairy themed giveaways for players to take home.

Hockey Hall of Fame
Patrons will get the chance to check out some of hockey’s greatest trophies when the Hall of Fame takes them on the road this weekend. Players will also be privy to a prize wheel where they will be given the chance to win a variety of Hall of Fame themed prizes.

H2T Elite Dryland Training
Located just around the corner from Scotiabank Pond, H2T Elite Dryland Training will be giving away a free team-training session to one lucky winner. Make sure to enter for your chance to win for your team!

HockeySnacks
Pre and post-game nutrition is vital to on-ice performance, which is why HockeySnacks will be providing teams playing on Saturday and Sunday with a bin of healthy snacks for their whole roster.
