2018 OHL GOLD CUP

The U16 OHL Gold Cup is an annual event created to showcase Ontario’s top Under-16 talent. It is also an evaluation and selection platform for Team Canada. Top players will be selected from the U16 OHL Gold Cup to attend the Under-17 Team Canada National Camp where the Hockey Canada staff will select 66 players from across the country to represent Canada at the World Under-17 Challenge in December 2018. With 8 teams and 160 players representing the ALLIANCE, GTHL, HEO, HNO, NOHA, and OMHA, the future of Canadian hockey is on display during the 2018 OHL Gold Cup. This year’s event will take place May 2nd  to 6th, 2018, in Kitchener, Ontario. Two teams from the GTHL will participate.

GTHL teams will be looking to win their fourth consecutive OHL Gold Cup title during the 2018 campaign. The 2015, 2016 and 2017 tournaments were captured by the GTHL.
