GTHL announces rosters for 2016 Under-21 AAA All-Star Game

The 11th edition of the annual Under-21 AAA All-Star Game will again feature former GTHL president John Gardner and longtime head coach Ray Heslop behind the bench to renew a rivalry that started many years ago.

Team Gardner, comprised of players from the Mississauga Braves, Humberview Huskies and Scarborough Young Bruins, will face Team Heslop, which boasts players from the Toronto Colts, Goulding Park Rangers and West Mall Lightning, on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 6:15 p.m. at Herb Carnegie Arena. Complete rosters are included below.

The Gardner-led Lido Bruins and Heslop’s J & R Hawks were legendary teams in the Under-21 division for decades. Since, Gardner has kept a close eye on the Under-21 AAA hockey scene and has helped steer the group to the success it has had.

Heslop, meanwhile, has served as a sounding board for players, coaches and teams since his time behind the bench. The Ray Heslop Juvenile Dedication Award was established in 2005 and is presented to the Under-21 player or team official who best exemplifies the true spirit of Under-21 hockey.

Admission: $5.00 (includes three chances to win a draw to be held during the second intermission)
