Midget-Aged Schedule Format Released for 2019-20 Season

The GTHL has confirmed the scheduling format that will be used for the Midget Jr. and Midget “A” and “AA” groups for the 2019-2020 season. These changes were adopted in an effort to help players balance hockey and the many challenges of completing their education and being more involved in their community.

Midget “A” and “AA”
The schedule format for players in Midget “A” and “AA” will remain very similar to the 2018-19 season but will see a reduction in the number of games. The schedule will be as follows:

October 1– Start of the season
January 1 to 5 – No games to be scheduled.  This coincides with the school break.
Late January – No games to be scheduled.  This is an exam break.
March Break- No games to be scheduled.  This takes place from the first Friday to the last Sunday of the break.

The regular season schedule will be 30 games in length.  Any alteration to this number will be based on the number of teams and finding a schedule number very close to 30 games.
