GTHL clubs set to host OHF Championships

The Toronto Marlboros, Mississauga Braves and Meadowvale Mohawks will welcome teams from the GTHL, Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario (ALLIANCE/MHAO), Ontario Minor Hockey Federation Ontario (OMHA) and Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) this weekend for the 2015 Ontario Hockey Federation Championships from April 10 to 12.

ATOM AAA
The Marlboros will host the 2015 Atom AAA OHF Championship at MasterCard Centre in Etobicoke. Players in this age group were born in 2004.

Teams: Toronto Marlboros (GTHL; host), Toronto Jr. Canadiens (GTHL), London Jr. Knights (ALLIANCE), Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs (ALLIANCE) and Quinte Red Devils (OMHA).

PEEWEE AA
The Braves will host the 2015 Peewee AA OHF Championship at Port Credit Arena in Mississauga. Players in this age group were born in 2002.

Teams: Mississauga Braves (GTHL; host), Streetsville Tigers (GTHL), Richmond Stars (OMHA), London Jr. Knights (ALLIANCE) and Nickel City Sons (NOHA)

BANTAM A
The Mohawks of the Misssissauga Hockey League will host the 2015 Bantam A OHF Championship at Vic Johnston Arena in Mississauga. Players in this age group were born in 2000.

Teams: Meadowvale Mohawks (MHL; host), Vaughan Panthers (GTHL), Welland Tigers (OMHA), Sarnia Jr. Sting (ALLIANCE) and Soo Eagles (NOHA)

The 2015 Peewee AAA All-Ontario Championship takes place from April 6 to 10 at Centre Ice Sportsplex Arena in Alliston. The 2015 Scotiabank GTHL Playoffs champion Toronto Marlboros will compete against the host York-Simcoe Express (OMHA), Oakville Rangers (OMHA), Eastern Ontario Wild (Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association), Thunder Bay Kings (HNO), London Jr. Knights (ALLIANCE) and the Nickel City Sons (NOHA).

PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS
The host Toronto Young Nationals won the Midget AAA Central Region Championship on Sunday with a 3-0 win over the London Jr. Knights at Westwood Arena. The Young Nationals will represent Ontario at the Telus Cup for a second straight year, following a fourth-place finish at the national championship in 2014.

The Mississauga Rebels won the Bantam AAA All-Ontario Championship on Saturday in Timmins.
