Recharge with Milk Team Contest

George Bell Hockey Association’s Recharge with Milk Wild took in the action at the Air Canada Centre last night as the Toronto Maple Leafs took on the Carolina Hurricanes.

The GBHA Recharge with Milk Wild were selected by random draw as the lucky winners of the Recharge with Milk Team Contest back in early December and they had been patiently waiting for their big night ever since.

As part of the Recharge with Milk Team Sponsorship Program the Dairy Farmers of Canada treated the team from George Bell Hockey Association to an all expenses paid outing that included a ride to and from the game in a coach bus, tickets to a Gondola Suite, and lots of delicious food and drinks along with plenty of chocolate milk!

The Recharge with Milk Team Sponsorship Program is an initiative started in partnership with the Greater Toronto Hockey League for the 2014-15 season that sees nearly 100 Bantam aged house league teams across the GTHL sponsored by Recharge with Milk.  This program provides necessary funding for teams to offset costs associated with playing hockey to make it more accessible for local hockey players.

Don’t forget the Recharge with Milk team recovery routine!

To prevent injury and enhance performance, it’s important to warm up before every game, and recover effectively after it. Chocolate milk within 30 minutes of any intense workout delivers an ideal mix of what the body needs: fluids to rehydrate, carbs to refuel and protein to recharge.
