Bauer and GTHL In Partnership Through 2011

The Greater Toronto Hockey League announced today that it will be partnering with Bauer Hockey through 2011.

Bauer will become a premier partner of the GTHL through a deal that spans several aspects of the GTHL’s marketing platform. Most notable is the title sponsorship of the GTHL’s annual Challenge Cup – a high profile tournament for elite Peewee ‘AAA’ teams that runs from December 27-30 annually. The tournament will be held at The Hershey Centre in Mississauga this year. The tournament has become increasingly popular over the years as it attracts top ranked teams from the Greater Toronto Area as well as some teams from the USA. Since 1978,graduates from this tournament include Steve Stamkos, Jason Spezza, Patrick Kane, Rick Nash, Mike Cammalleri, Eric Lindros, Brendan Shanahan, Adam Graves, and the list goes on. The talent is so great, even famed CBC personality Don Cherry frequents the tournament to take in the exciting action. The tournament will now be known as The Bauer Challenge Cup.
