Halloween weekend saw a slew of spectators arrive at GTHL arenas dressed for the occasion, including many who came dawning full scouting attire. On the ice, all 12 Minor Midget AAA were in action, while the race to the Kraft Cup got that much tighter across many divisions.

Minor Atom AA

The North York Knights (8-0-0) remain undefeated after a 5-0 win against the Markham Islanders. The second place Knights are only one win and one game behind the first-place West Hill Golden Hawks (9-0-0), who currently lead the East with nine straight wins.

Sitting in fourth after eight games, North Toronto (5-1-2) added a W to their record. The squad has only lost one game so far this season, and are currently three games back of the third place Toronto Aeros (7-4-0).

In the West, the Streetsville Tigers (7-1-0) crept up on the first place Toros (8-1-1) after a 6-0 win against the Mississauga Braves. The Tigers remain three points and two games back of the Toros. Teams in the division should keep an eye on the fourth place Mississauga Terriers (6-1-1), who extended their winning streak to four over the weekend.

Hot on their tail, the second place Vaughan Panthers (9-0-2) won their fourth straight after defeating the Humber Valley Sharks by a score of 5-3. Both teams should be keeping a close eye on the third place Toronto Eagles (9-2-1) who are in the midst of a four game winning streak, and only one-point back of the Panthers.

The East, meanwhile, could not get any tighter, with the North York Knights (9-1-2) and West Hill Golden Hawks (9-1-2) now tied with identical records after 12 games apiece. Four points back of first, the Hillcrest Canadiens (7-3-2) improved their winning streak to three games after beating the first place North York Knights on Friday.

Minor Midget AAA

The scouts were out in full force with nine Minor Midget AAA games on the schedule over a three day span. The Toronto Young Nationals (10-1-2) moved back up into first after recording a win and a tie in back-to-back match ups. The Nats, however, will need to match the pace of the second place Mississauga Reps (9-0-3) and third place Vaughan Kings (8-1-2) if they want to stay on top. Both teams extended their winning streaks to four over the weekend. The Kings now sit only two  games back of the first place Nats.
