It’s going to be an intense finish to the season with Kraft Cup standings as close as this.

Peewee A

Only two points separate the third and first place teams in the East – and all three are in the midst of a winning streak. The first place Markham Islanders (26-4-3) remain a single point ahead of the second place Ted Reeve Thunder (24-4-6) after recording their fifth consecutive win. The Islanders currently have a game in hand over the Thunder, with both teams yet to suffer a loss in 2017.

Teams in the division should be on the lookout for the third place West Hill Golden Hawks (25-6-3). The Golden Hawks are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and currently sit only one point behind the Thunder.

The West isn’t so wild, with the first place Toronto Wolverines (27-3-2) maintaining a dominant 12 point lead over the division. The second place Duffield Devils (21-9-2) will have to win the majority (if not all) of their remaining games if they want to campaign to catch up.

Other finals from Peewee A weekend action:

East – Toronto Shamrocks 2, North Toronto 4
East –
Willowdale Blackhawks 6, Don Mills Mustangs 0

West – West Toronto Renegades 2, Humberview Huskies 4
West – Amesbury Attack 2, Humber Valley Sharks 5

Peewee AAA

The Jr. Canadiens (24-2-1) notched a big four points after back-to-back weekend wins. They now sit in first with a five-point cushion over the second place Toronto Marlboros (21-4-2). Three of the Marlboros’ four losses this season have come at the expense of the Jr. Canadiens. The third place Mississauga Senators (20-3-3) have an opportunity to slide into second, sitting only one point back of the Marlboros with a game in hand.

Other finals from Peewee AAAA weekend action:

Toronto Red Wings 2, Don Mills Flyers 1
Toronto Titans 4, Vaughan Kings 1

Minor Midget AA

It’s Mississauga mayhem with the Mississauga North Stars (26-3-1) and Mississauga Jets (26-2-0) in a neck-and-neck race for first in the West. The second place Jets sit three points back of the first-place North Stars with three games in hand. The North Stars last loss came at the expense of the Jets. The two teams are scheduled to play one another on February 7.

The East is also experiencing a two-team dual for the top spot. The Toronto Aces (21-2-4) and North York Knights (22-4-2) have recorded 46 points apiece with the Aces having a game in hand. Third place North Toronto (18-3-6) also shouldn’t be ruled out, winning eight of their last nine, including a 3-2 win over the second place Knights. North Toronto sits four points back of first.

Other finals from Minor Midget AA weekend action:

East – Toronto Aces 4, Willowdale Blackhawks 1
