The Greater Toronto Hockey League, in partnership with Nothers The Award Store, was proud to recognize its 2024 Award winners at the Hockey Hall of Fame on June 6.

The GTHL extends a congratulations to Ethan Kozak, the recipient of the Len Barrett Under-18 House League Scholarship Award. The award recognizes an Under-18 house league player who achieves a high standard of excellence academically and in hockey. The award is a one-time post-secondary educational scholarship provided by the GTHL.

Ethan spent almost all of his minor hockey career with Willowdale Sports Club, playing house league and Select. In addition to hockey, Ethan also enjoys swimming, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. Off the ice, Ethan achieved an impressive 97 per cent average at Thornhill Secondary School. Along with academic excellence, Ethan also captained his high school’s varsity hockey and ultimate frisbee teams. Ethan is striving to enter the healthcare field and serve his community through his passion for service and science.
