Toronto, Ont. – Ontario Hockey League Director of Officiating Conrad Haché today announced the League’s 101-member officiating team for the 2023-24 season. Included in the 101-member team are 22 former Greater Toronto Hockey League officials, 15 of which will wear the bands as a referee and seven will skate as linespeople.
In total, the OHL’s officiating team consists of 41 referees and 60 linespeople, with this year’s roster including 11 first-year staff made up of four referees and seven linespeople. Two of the first-year referees in Damian Figueira and Cameron Fynney are making the jump from the GTHL.
Mike Marley and Mike Cairns enter their 16th and 14th seasons respectively, leading the way in OHL seasons among former GTHL officials wearing the bands as a referee.
On the lines, former GTHL officials Justin Herrington and GTHL Officiating Development Committee member Scott Lawson both enter their 10th OHL season.
The 2023-24 OHL Regular Season gets underway on Thursday night with two games on the schedule.
