A few Kraft Cups have already been clinched, but there’s plenty more teams still in the race.

Minor Peewee AAA

A first place Jr. Canadiens (23-3-2) loss and a Toronto Titans (21-3-4) win have put the Titans within two points of tying the first place position. The race to the Kraft Cup will come down to the last five games of the regular season for the two teams.

The seventh seed Mississauga Rebels (12-11-3) are heating up just in time to make a playoff run. The Rebels have won three straight with seven games left to play. The road to the playoffs, however, will not be an easy one. The Rebels will face the top three teams in their last three games of the season.

Other finals from Minor Peewee AAA weekend action:

Vaughan Kings 2, Mississauga Reps 6
Mississauga Senators 2, Toronto Red Wings 0

Minor Bantam A

After weekend wins for both teams, the Don Mills Mustangs (27-2-2) and the Leaside Flames (27-2-2) sit with identical records after 31 games played. The Mustangs have recorded a slightly better home record, which could give them an advantage with six of their remaining nine games being played at home. Teams should keep an eye out for York Mills (20-3-7) who have won four of their last five, including a 7-3 victory over Forest Hill (8-19-5) on Sunday.

In the West, the Toronto Wolverines (23-3-4) sit in first after extending their winning streak to eight over the weekend. The second place Humberview Huskies (22-4-3), although not on a hot streak, sit three points back of first with a game in hand. The Wolverines and Huskies will meet on February 19.

Despite 15 points back of the first-place Wolverines, the Duffield Devils (16-11-3) look ready to make a playoff run. The Devils won two back-to-back over the weekend to extend their winning streak to four.

Other finals from Minor Bantam A weekend action:

East – Toronto Shamrocks 1Willowdale Blackhawks 0
East – Ted Reeve Thunder 7, Hillcrest Canadiens 2

West – Vaughan Rangers 4, Greater Toronto Capitals 1
West – Humber Valley Sharks 2, Toronto Royals 5

Midget Jr. AA

The first place Ted Reeve Thunder (25-4-2) displayed their dominance of the division after a 6-2 win over the Markham Islanders (7-14-10) on Sunday. The Thunder are 10 points ahead of the second-place Scarborough Young Bruins (17-6-8) with five games left in the regular season. The Bruins have won three of their last four.

Unlike their eastern counterparts, the race in the West will be determined by the final few games of the season. Only five points separate the first place Streetsville Tigers (21-5-4) with the third place Greater Toronto Capitals (18-8-5). The Tigers have a game in hand over the Huskies and Capitals which could prove to be the difference between a Kraft Cup victory and entering the playoffs empty handed.

Other finals from Minor Junior AA weekend action:

East – Toronto Aeros 3, Markham Islanders 3
East – North York Knights 1, Scarborough Young Bruins 5

West – Duffield Devils 3, Vaughan Panthers 6
West – Humberview Huskies 7, Mississauga Terriers 1
