The Toronto Young Nationals are Midget AAA Central Region champions for a second straight year. The host Young Nationals cruised to a 5-0-0 record in the round robin, outscoring opponents 34-10, before earning a 5-2 win in the semifinals over the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association champion Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
In the gold medal game on Sunday afternoon, the club broke a scoreless deadlock against the London Jr. Knights with three goals in the third period to win back-to-back provincial titles and punch another ticket to the Telus Cup national championship. Goaltender Dalton Ewing was named MVP of the championship game.
The Young Nationals will compete against regional champions from across Canada at the 2015 Telus Cup in Rivère-du-Loup, Que. from April 20 to 26:
Atlantic Region: Newbridge Academy Gladiators
Québec Region: Grenadiers de Châteauguay
Central Region: Toronto Young Nationals
West Region: Regina Pat Canadians
Pacific Region: Strathmore Bisons
Host: Albatros du Collège Notre-Dame

The Young Nationals posted a 25-3-5 record en route to winning the Kraft Cup as regular season champions before rolling to a second straight Scotiabank GTHL Playoffs title. They then posted an 11-3-3 record in the Scotiabank GTHL Playoffs, including a seven-game championship series win over the Don Mills Flyers.
The Young Nationals last year advanced to the Telus Cup national championship after defeating the host Markham Waxers in the Central Region final. The Nats eventually finished fourth in the country after posting a 4-2-0 record at the Telus Cup.
