Duffield Devils participate in food drive

By Robert Ianno, Manager, Duffield Devils Minor Midget AA

The Minor Midget AA Duffield Devils spent part of their Thanksgiving weekend giving back to the community.  The team participated in the Daily Bread Food Bank’s annual food drive in Toronto.

The team worked alongside some former Canadian Olympians to help sort food.  The Charity event is an annual tradition on teams with head coach CJ Bollers and manager Robert Ianno, that helps teach the players to give back to their community and as a reminder of how fortunate they are to play high level hockey while others strive just to eat each day.

The team had a great time working hard to help others for a few hours on the morning of Oct. 11.  The team will participate in at least one more charity event during this season.
