New GTHL Website

GREATER TORONTO HOCKEY LEAGUE LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

Updated website provides enhanced user-experience

TORONTO (November 1, 2013) – The Greater Toronto Hockey League today announced the launch of its new website www.GTHLCanada.com. The site has been updated with the latest technology to allow a more friendly browsing experience across all platforms.

New site features include:

•Canon Photo Blog: In partnership with Canon Canada Inc., GTHLcanada.com will provide a series of photography tips from Canon so that our members can take the best photos in the rink.

•Canon Photo Galleries: Weekly collections of images by photographer Erin Riley, highlighting action from across the GTHL.

•Live social feeds: GTHL Facebook (facebook.com/GTHLhockey) and Twitter (twitter.com/GTHLhockey) pages will stream on the home page.

•Interactive calendar: Upcoming events are highlighted on the home page along with user-friendly monthly views.

•Updated News feed and Alerts tab: Important stories, news and alerts will be highlighted for fast and easy access.

In addition to the new website launch, the Greater Toronto Hockey League will unveil a fully integrated mobile site, compatible with all smartphones and tablets, in the near future

The GTHL website remains an information hub for minor hockey fans in the Greater Toronto Area, as features such as the Pro Hockey Life Games Centre, tournament information, important dates and documents as well as resources for referees and coaches were transferred over. GTHLcanada.com will also carry new content with a focus on past and present GTHL players, including the Player of the Week award.

About the GTHL

Founded in 1911, the Greater Toronto Hockey League is a non-profit organization and is the largest amateur minor hockey league in the World.  There are over 40,000 participants registered annually in the GTHL.  GTHL jurisdiction spans Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Vaughan, and Markham and includes players ranging from the ages of 4-20. The GTHL celebrated its 100th anniversary in the 2011-12 season.
