The Greater Toronto Hockey League’s 12 “AAA” Clubs will be the first hit the ice, starting their 33 game regular season schedule on September 11. Here are just a few teams to keep an eye on from now until April.

Atom Jr. Canadiens
In their first official season of competitive GTHL hockey, the Minor Atom Jr. Canadiens posted an impressive 30-2-1 record, winning the Kraft Cup over the second place Toronto Marlboros (28-4-1).  The team’s success continued into the Scotiabank GTHL Playoffs where they swept their opponents in all three rounds. With two GTHL titles under their belt, the Atom Jr. Canadiens will look to continue to build a name for themselves as the team to beat.
Season Opener: Sunday, September 17 at 11:25 a.m. vs. Markham Majors – Thornhill Centre West

Minor Peewee Mississauga Senators
It was an Atom season to remember for the Mississauga Senators (27-3-3). After securing a Kraft Cup, the Sens would exchange wins with the Jr. Canadiens in a nail biting Scotiabank GTHL Playoff Final, ultimately coming out on top as champs. Their winning streak would continue all the way to the OHF Championships where they were crowned provincial champions.
Season Opener: Saturday, September 16 at 4:15 p.m. vs. Toronto Young Nationals – Scarborough Ice Sports

Peewee Toronto Titans
After the Minor Peewee Toronto Titans (24-5-4) missed out on a Kraft Cup by only four points, the team used the loss as motivation to excel during their run in the Scotiabank GTHL Playoffs. In the final round, the Titans managed to defeat the Kraft Cup winning Jr. Canadiens to take the title as playoff champs. Expect the Peewee Titans to be hungry for more after their taste of playoff victory.
Season Opener: Monday, September 11 at 7:10 p.m. vs. Mississauga Senators – Scotiabank Pond

Minor Bantam Jr. Canadiens
With back-to-back Kraft Cup and Scotiabank GTHL Playoff Championships, the Minor Bantam Jr. Canadiens will attempt to continue their incredible GTHL run into the 2017-18 campaign. Now required to play a more physical game, will the Jr. Canadiens be able to make the tweaks necessary to accommodate a new style of play at the Minor Bantam level?
Season Opener: Tuesday, September 12 at 7:25 p.m. vs. North York Rangers – Scotiabank Pond

Minor Midget Mississauga Reps
The Bantam Mississauga Reps (26-4-3) battled with the Toronto Marlboros (26-5-2) through 33 regular season games and would eventually come out on top, taking home the Kraft Cup as regular season champs. Meeting again in the final round of the Scotiabank GTHL Playoffs, post-season victory came in favour of the Marlboros with an 8-6 series win over the Reps. Will the Reps organization be able to win an OHL Cup for the second consecutive season? Or will the Marlboros continue their dominance after capping off their season as OHF champions?
