On November 30, the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) dropped the puck on the 2024-2025 season. Across the six rosters, a total of 10 Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) alumni are featured.
To open the season, Daryl Watts (Mississauga Braves) and the hometown Toronto Sceptres skated to a 3-1 win over the Boston Fleet. Watts notched two assists in the game.
Laura Stacey (Toronto Royals) and the Montreal Victoire edged the Ottawa Charge in a 4-3 shootout win. Stacey recorded a goal in the contest. Fellow GTHL alumna Mikyla Grant-Mentis (Toronto Titans) also assisted on the Victoire’s first goal of the season.

On December 1, Jaime Bourbonnais (Humber Valley Sharks) and the New York Sirens came out with a 4-3 overtime win over Claire Thompson (Humber Valley Sharks) and the Minnesota Frost. The game featured an Humber Valley Sharks connection as both Thompson and Sophie Jaques (Humber Valley Sharks) assisted on Frost captain Kendall Coyne Schofield’s first goal of the season.

The season continues on December 3, with the Sceptres visiting the Charge in Ottawa.
