U10 ‘A’ Applewood Coyotes give back to Mississauga Food Bank

On December 18, the Mississauga Hockey League’s (MHL) Under-10 ‘A’ Applewood Coyotes volunteered to sort 6,240 pounds of food at the Mississauga Food Bank.

In addition to the hands-on work, the Coyotes engaged in fundraising — exceeding their fundraising goal, raising over $2,800.

The contributions of the team will provide approximately 9,040 meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity in Mississauga.

As a team, we want our kids to understand how fortunate they are and the importance of finding ways to give back to their community,” said Jeffrey Clatworthy, the Head Coach of the Coyotes. “A good life lesson for the kids and they still managed to have fun in the process.”

The Coyotes are proud of what they accomplished and look forward to more opportunities to make a positive impact.
