Around the G: November 2023 Preview

With the second month of the GTHL regular season upon us, hockey rinks and schedules are busy. Check out everything going on around the league this month! 

  • Referee Clinics – Entry Level and Re-Certification (November) 

The GTHL is hosting its final few Referee Clinics at various dates throughout the month of November. These clinics range from entry-level referees to Level 1-6 re-certifications for experienced referees.

  • Shanahan International Tournament (November 3-5) 

The Reps Hockey Club are back hosting the Shanahan International for another year! This ‘AAA’ tournament is for the Under-10 to U15 age groups and is being played out of Canlan Sports York.

  • 2023 Mississauga North Stars Cup (November 10-12) 

The Mississauga North Stars Cup takes place November 10-12 at Paramount Fine Foods and Iceland. This ‘AA’ tournament has divisions at U10, U11, U14, U15, U16, and U18.

  • Vaughan Select Memorial Tournament (November 16-19) 

The Vaughan Rangers Select tournament returns for another year! This tournament is being offered at the U7 to U18 age groups.

  • Movember Moustache Cup (November 16-19) 

The GTHL and Movember are excited to host the inaugural Movember Moustache Cup tournament through the November 17-19 weekend. Played out of Scotiabank Pond, this U14 to U18 non-contact ‘A’ tournament welcomes teams from the GTHL, MHL, OMHA, and ALLIANCE.

  • 2023 Mississauga Rattlers Tournament (November 23-26) 

The Mississauga Rattlers tournament is back for another season! This tournament welcomes ‘AA’ teams from U13 to U18.

Platinum Cup (November 24-26) 

The GTHL and the Toronto Maple Leafs are pleased to host the 2023 Platinum Cup at Scotiabank Pond once again. This U11 ‘A,’ ‘AA,’ and ‘AAA’ tournament welcomes teams from the GTHL, OMHA, ALLIANCE, and HEO for an action-packed weekend.
