The start of October means another GTHL season has begun! Check out everything going on around the GTHL this October!
- Referee Clinics – Entry Level and Re-Certification (October)
The GTHL is hosting Referee Clinics on various dates throughout the month of October. These clinics range from entry-level officials to Level 1-6 re-certifications for experienced referees.

- GTHL ‘AAA’ Regular Season Begins (October 2)
The ‘AAA’ schedule got started on Monday, October 2 across all age groups (Under-10 to U18). U10, U11, U12, and U14 will play a 33-game schedule, while U13, U15, U16, and U18 play a 36-game schedule.
- Mississauga Early Bird Tournament (October 2-8)
The Mississauga Terriers are hosting the 38th annual early bird tournament once again! This ‘AA’ tournament plays host to teams from U10 to U18.

- Brian Steele Early Bird Tournament (October 2-8)
The Hillcrest Canadiens return with their annual early bird tournament in honour of Brian Steele. This is an ‘A’ and ‘AA’ tournament for U10 to U18 teams.

The ‘AA’ schedule kicks off on October 9 across all age groups (U10 to U18). All ‘AA’ age groups play a 34-game schedule.

The ‘A’ schedule gets going on October 9 across all age groups (U10 to U18). All ‘A’ age groups play a 34-game schedule.
- Puck Drop Weekend (October 21-22)
To celebrate the start of the 2023-24 season, the GTHL will be hosting Puck Drop Weekend at Canlan York on October 21 to 22. The weekend will feature GTHL regular season games on all six pads, along with lots of action off the ice throughout the rink, too!

- Canadiens Cup 2023 – Tyler Cragg Memorial (October 27-29)
The Toronto Red Wings are hosting the 41st annual Early Bird Tournament. Teams from the U13, U14, and U15 ‘AAA’ divisions are eligible to enter. All games will be played out of Chesswood Arenas.
