Celebrate a GTHL Volunteer Hero During National Volunteer Week

Every champion starts with a hero behind the scenes.

As the 2024-2025 season comes to a close, it’s important to recognize all the people who help make every puck drop possible. National Volunteer Week is April 27 to May 3, 2025, and the Greater Toronto Hockey League is proud to launch the GTHL Volunteer Heroes celebration! The celebration will be a week-long campaign to recognize the outstanding volunteers who give their time, energy, and heart to minor hockey in our community.

Whether it’s a coach who always shows up with a smile, a team manager who keeps everything running smoothly, a trainer, board member, or that parent who quietly takes on every behind-the-scenes task — if someone makes a difference in your hockey world, the GTHL wants to celebrate them!

The GTHL will celebrate the Volunteer Heroes throughout National Volunteer Week across the League’s social media channels, sharing their stories and impact on the game. Recognized volunteers will also receive a prize package from the GTHL as a token of appreciation for their efforts.

Minor hockey is made possible simply through the passion and commitment of countless volunteers. National Volunteer Week gives the GTHL and our community the chance to say thank you. Join the GTHL by recognizing someone who makes a difference in your hockey experience.
