GTHL announces 2023 U18 ‘AAA’ All-Star selections, date fuelled by Gatorade

The Greater Toronto Hockey League announced today the Under-18 ‘AAA’ All-Star selections for the 2023 U18 ‘AAA’ All-Star Game fuelled by Gatorade on Friday, January 27 at 7:30pm. The game will kick off the U18 All-Star Festival fuelled by Gatorade at Scotiabank Pond with ‘AA’ and ‘A’ U18 All-Star games slated for Saturday, January 28.  

Admission to the games will be free of charge, with more information on the U18 All-Star Festival, including ‘AA’ and ‘A’ All-Star selections, to come.  

The U18 ‘AAA’ All-Star rosters feature six goaltenders, 12 defensemen, and 24 forwards selected by scouts, with each of the GTHL’s 13 clubs represented with at least one player. 

The coaches and trainers were selected based on their team’s position in the League’s standings. With coaches from the top six teams, the benches have representation from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, Toronto Marlboros, Vaughan Kings, Toronto Titans, North York Rangers, and Toronto Young Nationals.  

On Team Blue, the Rangers are out front with six players selected, with the Kings (5) in a close second. The Marlboros (4) and Don Mills Flyers (3) are in the middle of the pack, while the Toronto Red Wings (2) and Markham Majors (1) round out six total clubs making up the roster. 

On Team Red, the Jr. Canadiens are represented with a leading-eight players, while the Young Nationals (4), Titans (3), and Mississauga Senators (2) each feature at least two players rostered. The Mississauga Rebels, Reps Hockey Club, and Thunder Bay Kings all have one player selected, while the Red Wings add a third player to their total.
