On March 6, Brian Webster was honoured with the King Charles III Coronation Medal. The Greater Toronto Hockey League proudly congratulates Webster, a dedicated Director on the GTHL Board, on this well-deserved recognition.
Peter Fonseca, Member of Parliament (MP) for Mississauga East—Cooksville, presented Webster with the medal, sharing:
“Brian Webster’s decades of leadership in youth sports have changed the landscape of Canadian hockey. As a key figure in Applewood Hockey, [the Mississauga Hockey League], and the Greater Toronto Hockey League, Brian has focused on fostering character, discipline, and teamwork in young athletes. His discipline reform program, recognized by the Toronto Star, has set new standards for constructive coaching and player development. Brian’s work in grassroots hockey ensures all children, regardless of background, have the opportunity to excel, building not just hockey skills but also lifelong values.”
The GTHL is incredibly proud to see Webster recognized for his dedication and contributions to the game. His leadership and commitment to fostering a positive hockey experience for young athletes have made a lasting impact, and this honour is a well-deserved celebration of his efforts.
