GTHL Mourns the Passing of Lou Del Brocco

GTHL Life Member Passes Away at the age of 85.

louToronto (Friday, February 23, 2018) – The Greater Toronto Hockey (GTHL) Board of Directors, Staff and Members are mourning the passing of GTHL Life Member Lou Del Brocco. Mr. Del Brocco passed away on Tuesday.

For over 50 years, Lou was a highly respected coach and subsequent Director of the Greater Toronto Hockey League He especially enjoyed the times accompanying many hockey teams traveling to Europe. Mr. Del Brocco served as a member of the GTHL Board of Directors from 1987-98 and was made an Honourary Life Member of the League in 1999.  He is survived by Jean (Piela) his best friend and loving wife of 59 years, his children – David (Kim), Valerie (Gigi Van Weezel), and Louis Junior (Barb), his grandchildren – Lauren, Taylar, Mateo, Miaelena, Michael, Blake and Jenna, and his sisters – Virginia Del Brocco and Marie Rosa.

The family will receive friends at R.S. Kane Funeral Home at 6150 Yonge St., Toronto on Friday, March 2nd between 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm followed by a funeral mass on March 3rd at 11 am at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church at 222 Ridley Blvd near Avenue Rd & Wilson with a celebration reception to follow.

The thoughts and prayers of the entire GTHL are with the Del Brocco family.
