Recap: 2018 OHL Cup Powered by Under Armour Quarter-Finals

QF1 – Sun County Panthers vs. Toronto Jr. Canadiens | Jr. Canadiens win 6-1
Jr. Canadiens goaltender Sami Molu faced 50 shots to help punch the Jr. Canadiens ticket to the semi-finals. The Jr. Canadiens will face fellow GTHL foes, the Toronto Marlboros. Both teams are undefeated in the tournament. The Marlboros are 2-1-0 against the Jr. Canadiens this season.

QF2 – Barrie Jr. Colts vs. Toronto Marlboros | Marlboros win 3-2
Tied at two with time ticking down in the third, Toronto Marlboros forward Will Cuylle would get his second hat trick of the tournament to punch his team a ticket to the semi-finals. The Marlboros will face the Jr. Canadiens in an all-GTHL semi-final matchup. 

QF3 – Mississauga Reps vs. Vaughan Kings | Kings win 2-1
Four times the charm for the Vaughan Kings who tied the Mississauga Reps 2-2 in each of their three meetings this season. Kings goaltender Marco Costantini faced 30 shots in the 2-1 victory. The Kings will face the undefeated York-Simcoe Express in the semi-finals.

QF4 – Oakville Rangers vs. York-Simcoe Express | Express win 2-1 (OT)
After losing to the Express in the OMHA Championship, the Rangers knew they were in for a challenge with their quarter-final opponents. An overtime goal by Express forward Evan Vierling would seal the deal for the Express who will play the Vaughan Kings in the semi-finals.
