The Greater Toronto Hockey League, in partnership with the Ontario Hockey League, has launched a 50/50 draw for the 2024 OHL Cup. Proceeds from the 50/50 will be in support of the You Can Play and the GTHL’s Legacy Fund.
The 50/50 begins on Monday, March 25 at 12:00am and will close Saturday, March 30 following the OHL Cup Championship Final.
The draw for the winner will take place on Monday, April 1 at 1:00pm.
Tickets can be purchased both in-person and online at OHLCup5050.ca throughout the OHL Cup. Those attending all games leading up to the Championship Final will have the opportunity to purchase in-person at Scotiabank Pond. All those attending the Championship Final on March 30 will also have the opportunity to purchase in-person at Mattamy Athletic Centre.
The You Can Play Project, a partner of the GTHL, works to ensure the safety and inclusion for all who participate in sports, including LGBTQ+ athletes, coaches, and fans. You Can Play achieves this by creating a community of allies that is able to foster a true sense of belonging. This becomes possible when sports teams sharpen the focus on the person’s skills, work ethic, and competitive spirit, not their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
The GTHL established the Legacy Fund in 2011 in an effort to help families in financial need who cannot afford the costs of minor hockey participation, and to assist organizations in funding hockey programs with a focus on child and community development.
