A pair of dramatic endings helped Team Blue sweep the 2015 Midget All-Star Festival, as the designated visiting squad won all three games, including two overtime victories.
In the AAA contest, Toronto Titans forward Jackson Savery scored the game-winner just over six minutes into overtime while North York Knights forward Tyler Butts netted the decisive tally with just 39 seconds remaining in the extra frame of the A game. Team Blue powered past Team White 8-4 in the AA matchup.
MIDGET AAA ALL-STAR GAME
Team Blue 4, Team White 3 (OT)
After falling behind 1-0 just 12 seconds after the opening face-off, Team Blue scored the next three goals – including two second-period tallies by Mississauga Senators forward Quinn Pollock – before eventually sealing the victory in overtime.
Don Mills Flyers forward Oliver Benwell scored with eight seconds left in the second period to bring Team White within one before North York Rangers forward Kyle Chypyha forced overtime with his second goal of the game early in the third period.
For their two-goal efforts, Team Blue’s Pollock and Team White’s Chypyha were named MVP for their respective teams.

North Toronto forward Cody Chypyha opened the scoring midway through the second period but Benjamin Thompson (Toronto City Blues) knotted the score at 1-1 before the end of the frame.
In the final minute of overtime, Scarborough Ice Raiders forward Parker Lefort and Toronto Eagles defenseman Vincenzo Ginocchi teamed up to help Butts convert on the game-winning goal.
Goulding Park Rangers forward Benjamin Weingarten received MVP honours for Team Blue while Wyatt Stamper of the Ted Reeve Thunder was award MVP for Team White.

Team Blue jumped to a 3-0 lead and scored seven of the first eight goals – highlighted by 1-3—4 from both Brandon MacKinnon (Toronto City Blues) and David Bolarinho (Streetsville Tigers) – en route to an 8-4 win in the opening game of the 2015 Midget All-Star Festival.
Derrick Wong and Daniel Bolarinho (David’s brother), also members of the City Blues and Tigers, respectively, each tallied a goal and an assist while Tigers defenseman Brandon Calvert found the back of the net twice.
Goaltender Zain Jaffrey, another City Blues representative, took home MVP honours for Team Blue. Adam Manauf of the Mississauga Terriers received the award for Team White.
