On September 13, the Greater Toronto Hockey League with the Mississauga Hockey League (MHL) and North York Hockey League (NYHL), recognized the 2023-24 Officiating Award recipients. It was the 19th annual celebration of officiating excellence in the GTHL’s competitive (‘A,’ ‘AA,’ and ‘AAA’) program, MHL, and NYHL.
“Getting the GTHL competitive officials together with the MHL and NYHL is a chance to enjoy and celebrate involvement in minor hockey,” Peter Kourtis, GTHL General Manager, said. “The GTHL has over 1,100 officials under its umbrella and those recognized are very dedicated and carry a great respect for the game that keeps our youth involved in so many ways beyond merely winning and playing hockey games.”
