TORONTO, ON – The Greater Toronto Hockey League has announced the rosters for the 2022 GTHL Top Prospects Game powered by Under Armour, which takes place on January 13, 2022 at Scotiabank Pond in Downsview Park.
The top 40 GTHL Under-16 ‘AAA’ players selected will showcase their skills in the 12th annual event, divided into Team Black and Team White. Each roster will feature two goaltenders, six defencemen, and 12 forwards.

“The GTHL is excited and grateful for the return of this event,” said Scott Oakman, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the GTHL. “Many current NHL players have competed in this event and we always take pride in getting the chance to give our players the opportunity to showcase their skills. The League appreciates the continued support from Under Armour, providing fans and our players with the best possible experience.”
A total of five different GTHL clubs make up Team Clark-James-Primeau with the Mississauga Senators leading the way with nine and the Toronto Marlboros right behind with seven. The Vaughan Kings, Toronto Young Nationals, and Don Mills Flyers are all represented as well, each with at least one player.
Team Nolan-Stewart-Tucker has a total of four GTHL clubs rostered, including Toronto Jr. Canadiens and the North York Rangers with seven and six respectively, and the Markham Majors with five. The Kings add to their two players on Team Clark-James-Primeau with one donning a white jersey for a total of three GTHL Top Prospects.
Current NHL standouts such as Connor McDavid, Mitch Marner, Darnell Nurse, as well as first overall 2021 NHL Draft pick Owen Power, are alumni of the GTHL Top Prospects Game.
