There were no complaints about lack of hockey over the weekend as the GTHL regular-season added 96 games to the record book on Saturday and another 118 were contested on Sunday:

Minor Midget AAA
It was a busy weekend for Minor Midget AAA hockey as the division had a season-high of 12 games contested on Saturday and Sunday.

The Don Mills Flyers (19-1-8, 46 points) continue to occupy first place despite earning ties against a pair of Mississauga teams (1-1 vs. Reps; 3-3 vs. Rebels).

The Toronto Titans stretched their winning streak to four games with 3-0 and 2-1 wins over the Mississauga Senators and Vaughan Kings, respectively. At 21-3-2 (44 points), the Titans sit two points behind the Flyers with two games in hand.

Strong offensive outputs powered both the Toronto Marlboros and Toronto Jr. Canadiens to victories over the weekend; the Marlboros defeated the Markham Majors (6-1) and Toronto Red Wings (9-4) while the Jr. Canadiens knocked off the Kings (5-2) and Toronto Young Nationals (8-1).

The Marlboros and Jr. Canadiens share third place with identical records of 17-6-2 (34 points).

The Red Wings (10-12-3, 23 points) also earned a 4-3 win over the Young Nationals (8-16-4, 20 points) to move three points ahead of the club for seventh place.

The North York Rangers earned a pair of victories (5-2 vs. Rebels; 3-2 vs. Reps) to equal the Young Nationals with 20 points as the teams battle for the eighth and final playoff spot. Despite their two weekend losses, the Young Nationals (8-16-4, 20 points) have one more win than the Rangers (7-15-6, 20 points).

The Mississauga Senators picked up a 5-2 win over the Markham Majors in the only other weekend contest.

Minor Bantam A East
The North York Knights further distanced themselves from the pack with their 4-1 win over the third-place Toronto Aeros on Saturday. With the victory, the Knights improved their unblemished record to 22-0-2 (46 points) and moved ten points ahead of second-place Forest Hill (17-5-2, 36 points). 

The West Hill Golden Hawks (9-14-1, 19 points) moved into the eighth and final playoff spot with their 6-0 win over the Goulding Park Rangers. The Hillcrest Canadiens (8-13-3, 19 points) also have 19 points but West Hill has one more victory.

Another club battling for that final playoff spot is the Leaside Kings, who sit at 6-13-4 (16 points) following a split of their weekend contests (6-2 win vs. Scarborough Ice Raiders and 4-3 loss vs. Willowdale Blackhawks).

Minor Peewee AA East
The Minor Peewee AA East division featured only two games over the weekend, with both the Goulding Park Rangers and North Toronto picking up convincing victories. 

The Rangers strolled into Scarborough Gardens on Sunday afternoon and handed the second-place Ted Reeve Thunder a 7-2 decision. With the victory, the first-place Rangers (19-4-3, 41 points) increased their lead to six points over the Thunder (16-5-3, 35 points).

North Toronto skated to a 6-1 win over the Willowdale Blackhawks to improve to 14-9-2 (30 points) and move within one point of the fourth-place Leaside Flames (14-8-3, 31 points).

Peewee AAA
The Toronto Marlboros continue to hold down top spot in the division following a 13-0 rout of the Toronto Titans on Saturday. At 22-1-2 (46 points), the Marlboros sit six points ahead of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens (17-2-6, 40 points), who picked up one point in a 3-3 tie with the Mississauga Rebels.

The North York Rangers (17-4-4, 38 points) kept pace with both clubs with their 4-1 win over the Toronto Young Nationals. Right behind the Rangers are the Mississauga Reps (17-5-3, 37 points), who narrowly defeated the Vaughan Kings 2-1 on Sunday evening.

The Kings also picked up a 3-0 win over the Don Mills Flyers while the Toronto Red Wings earned a 7-0 victory versus the Markham Majors.
